Our little man has been very busy the past couple of weeks.
We changed daycares, and I am not so sure how I feel about it still. It is very different than his first daycare, but we were in a crunch because he was getting bitten and scratched almost everyday. And Mr. K pushed this one because it is close to our house (a plus honestly) and cheaper (I don't put a price on our son's care). I still feel like I don't have the routine down, and I don't think they give him enough to drink during the day, and to cap it off he just got hand, foot, and mouth disease. And I know this goes around the daycare, but this is not our first time with a daycare outbreak in Ben's classroom. I guess I don't know how safe they are when changing diapers, washing toys the kids have mouthed, you know the regular neurotic mom routine.
Learning new words all the time!
He is a sponge! We even gave him a cookie as part of his breakfast the other day because we were so proud he asked for one and used the word! I know I am a typical mom, but I do believe my son may be a genius, ahaha. It's one of the coolest things about being a mom. I am in awe of how amazing he is on a daily basis.
The Terrible Twos Have Started...
I love my son, I hate his tantrums. He now hits, bites, pulls hair, goes limp like a noodle, throws himself down on the floor. I try talking to him calmly, saying no and explaining how it hurts mommy when Ben pulls her hair, or we don't bite Daddy etc. I don't know what I am expected, but man sometimes I just want to scream back pull his hair. No I would never actually do that to my child, but I have really had a short temper with him and it makes me feel terrible.
Big Brother
I think Ben will be a great big brother, he loves babies and wants to hug them all the time. We will definitely have to watch him when the new baby boy comes into our lives because Ben may smother him with love.
Hope all other Mommies are getting through the days!
